Gagne appointed SEKO president, Wascher to become chairman

SEKO Logistics has appointed James Gagne as president, taking over from William Wascher on 1 January 2017.

Gagne joined SEKO in 2014 as chief operating officer – ASPAC, based in Hong Kong, and in his new role will be moving to the global headquarters in Chicago. Wascher, who has been president and chief executive officer (CEO) since 2002, will continue as CEO as Gagne transitions into his new role, before becoming chairman in January 2018.

Commenting on his appointment, Gagne says: “I am both honoured and excited to assume this new role and would like to thank Bill and our Board for their trust and support.”

Wascher says: “I am extremely proud to have led our fine team at SEKO for the past 15 years and of the outstanding growth we have achieved over this time, both in our network and our logistics and technology solutions.”

He adds: “We are confident James is the right person for the job with his specialist expertise in shaping strategic direction, transformation leadership, driving change, people development, and delivering significantly increased business performance.”
