KLM will resume Amsterdam – Tehran flights from 30 October, supplementing the Air France Paris – Tehran services which restarted on 16 April.

Flight number KL0433 will depart Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 17.40h on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and arrive at Tehran Iman Khomeini International Airport at 01.20h local time the following day. The return flight, KL0434 will leave Tehran at 03.20h and arrive back in Amsterdam at 06.45h using a Boeing 777-200.

KLM president and chief executive officer, Pieter Elbers says: “KLM has further strengthened its network with a new destination – the 14th to be added this year. This confirms that our strategy is starting to bear fruit. On the one hand we are improving our efficiency and productivity, while on the other we are investing in growth.”

KLM operated Tehran services from July 1991 to April 2013 and Iran has seen economic growth since international economic sanctions were lifted in January 2016. KLM says restarting the services offers new opportunities for companies seeking to do business in Iran.
