Menzies Aviation has extended its partnership with Air China, with a new ground handling contract at Nice Airport and a renewal in San Francisco.

The three year contract at Nice Airport starts on 3 August 2019 and will see Menzies Aviation providing ground handling services on Air China’s three flights a week from Beijing Capital Airport.

The agreement covering 156 flights per year extends Menzies’ ground handling capabilities at Nice, where it now services narrowbody and widebody flights.

At San Francisco Airport, Menzies has renewed cargo contract with Air China for three years, where it handled over 8,000 tonnes per year for the airline.

Giles Wilson, chief executive officer says: “This has been a significant year for our relationship with Air China, and we are delighted to be chosen as the airline’s trusted ground handling partner as it embarks on operations at Nice Airport. Winning our first widebody customer is an important step for Menzies at Nice Airport, and is a result of the continued hard work and dedication of the local ground handling team.”

He adds: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Air China in San Francisco, where we have been working together successfully for over 25 years. We are proud to receive this renewal for Air China and honoured to be their representative cargo handler for the next three years.  We look forward to delivering the high standards of service we have committed to providing Air China across the globe.”
