Turkish Cargo pharma gets the DoKaSch treatment

Turkish Cargo has signed a Master Rental Agreement with German-based container maker DoKaSch Temperature Solutions for its Opticooler equipment. The Opticooler electric air-conditioned container, can keep pharmaceuticals within a precise temperature range, whether in a tropical summer or arctic winter.

The carrier, which serves 124 countries, hopes to attract new cargo business with the move of its main hub to the new Istanbul Airport in 2019. Turkish Cargo, the largest carrier in the world in terms of passenger destinations is a member of the Star Alliance network.

Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions, declared: “Turkish Airlines serves more destinations than any other airline. This means that our Opticoolers are now available to many more clients that need reliable temperature-controlled air freight.”
