Airpharm Logistics S.A.U. is the first Spanish forwarder to join the Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP Cargo) Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) programme.

SAF is a jet fuel made from renewable sources such as cooking oil and is a sustainable alternative to fossil fuel that reduces carbon emissions by a minimum of 75%. It is blended with conventional fossil fuel and can be used in all aircraft engines.

“We reaffirm Airpharm’s commitment to looking for solutions that are less polluting and more respectful of the environment and our responsibility towards sustainability is an essential part of our company’s strategy. This partnership allows us to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda,” explains CEO Airpharm Logistics, Santiago Martí.

Filipe Fernandes, director Spain & Portugal said: “We are extremely pleased with the willingness and concrete commitment of our partner Airpharm Logistics to shape our common ambition for a more sustainable future by participating in the AFKLMP Cargo SAF programme. By example, we want to encourage the forwarding community to support these kinds of initiatives. Together we can build a better future.”
