Flexport, the full-service sigital freight forwarder & customs brokerage, has announced a partnership with JetOneX.

The partnership will add significant capacity on the Far East Westbound trade lane, providing a fast and reliable air freight service between Asia and Europe to satisfy growing customer demand.

Operating twice a week between Hong Kong HKG and Maastricht (MST), and once a week between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Maastricht, Flexport’s airfreight services delivered by JetOneX, will provide consistent flight services.

The services will use freighter aircraft with a combined 190 tonnes and 1100 CBM (HKG to MST) and 75 tonnes and 400 CBM (SGN to MST) of gross cargo capacity, respectively.

JetOneX is a capacity provider maintaining commercial control over a fleet of over four 747F cargo aircrafts, four 747M (formerly combi) aircrafts, with the plan of having four 747 P2F aircrafts by 2022. Specialising in long-haul intercontinental heavy-lift transit, Flexport customers will benefit from the flexibility in scheduling and end-to-end airfreight solutions enabled by JetOneX’s cargo fleet.

“Disruption in the airfreight market caused by global uncertainty and rapidly changing Covid regulations continue to result in cancellations and volatile pricing for our customers,” comments Neel Jones Shah, EVP airfreight at Flexport “By partnering with JetOneX, we’re able to grow our capacity, and our customers will enjoy best-in-class service flying into an uncongested MST airport as a gateway for the rest of Europe. In the future, we plan to build upon this service to create a reliable network of scheduled services that our customers can rely on whenever they need it.”

Paul Rombeek, senior director of network trade lane management EMEA, adds: “Additionally, faster transit times for airfreight are won with an excellent ground operation. Our network of owned and partner warehouses are designed to optimise the ground operation and seamlessly move freight from port to door. Once cargo arrives at MST, dedicated team members based in Europe will take over the rest of the shipment journey.”
