Heppner accelerates international growth with end of partnership with Hellmann

In 2019, after 20 years working with the Hellmann Worldwide Logistics network, Heppner has sought to relaunch its international growth by joining forces with Gebrüder Weiss. With this new strategic partnership, the company has accelerated growth in France and Europe in sea and air transport and associated customs activities. Heppner had also terminated its partnerships with Hellmann in Poland and England in order to accelerate growth in land freight in these countries. However, to support its partner Hellmann in its restructuring, Heppner had agreed to continue collaborating in land transport along the France-North Germany axis, in which it is an acknowledged leader.

The announced end of the partnership with Hellmann, one of Heppner’s seven partners in Germany, will enable the group to accelerate growth in Germany through the companies acquired in that country over the last two years, particularly Hamacher Logistik GmBH, a well-known company in Northern Germany, which joined its network in 2019. With almost a century of history in Germany, Heppner has a unique combination of partnerships and company-owned facilities that ensure the highest service standards for its customers.

“2019 was an important year for consolidating and strengthening our Heppner Group, with the establishment of a strategic collaboration with Gebrüder Weiss and the acquisition of Hamacher Logistik GmbH in Germany. We have reached a milestone. The official announcement of the end of our partnership with Hellmann opens up new prospects and offers new opportunities for international growth, particularly in Germany, the Group’s historic growth area,” announced Heppner CEO Jean-Thomas Schmitt.
