Transshipments – experienced a 15 per cent increase compared to the same month last year, continued to be the main driver of growth in cargo throughput.

During the first nine months of 2016, HKIA cargo traffic increased by 1.2 per cent to 3.2 million tonnes.

On a rolling 12-month basis, HKIA handled 4.4 million tonnes of cargo, marking YOY increase of 0.9 per cent.
