IAG Cargo is to offer cargo capacity on its new long-haul low-cost airline, LEVEL, with routes to the Americas.

LEVEL was launched in March 2017, will join cargo operations from June 2017, with services from Barcelona to Los Angeles in the USA, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Buenos Aires in Argentina using an Airbus A330-200.

IAG Cargo commercial director, David Shepherd says: “We already have one of the most extensive networks into the major cities of North and Latin America, and our new gateway will build on this further, providing customers with a wider range of options to get their goods to market.”

“By adding LEVEL to our network, we will now be able to offer lift from Barcelona.”

LEVEL is IAG Cargo’s fifth airline brand after British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and Vueling, and it says Barcelona will provide a useful alternative to Madrid.

IAG Cargo is also launching a new loyalty programme name FWD.Rewards aimed at small and medium sized forwarders, allowing them to earn points every time they ship, which can be converted into commercial flights, hotel stays or cargo credit.
