Jettainer is celebrating 60 years of the ULD with a special container, which will also be used for a second anniversary, its own 15th birthday.
The journey starts on 7 March in Frankfurt, with the container going to Singapore for the IATA World Cargo Symposium where Jettainer’s 15th anniversary will be celebrated.
More than 20 customers rely on Jettainer, with head of marketing and PR Martin Kraemer saying: “We have won many customers in the last 15 years and have not yet lost a single one. For us, this lasting loyalty is the perfect proof of our service.”
Innovations in ULD steering software as well as container hardware have led to increases in efficiency will Jettainer’s IT infrastructure, JettWare incorporates artificial intelligence to support ULD controllers in their work.
Technologies for geo-localisation of ULDs being used and further developments continue to provide improvements.
The ULD Black Box is being tested as a device that can measure and register damage, which will lead to a further increase in the efficiency of ULD fleets.
Kraemer adds: “The development, especially in the area of damage prevention, offers a great opportunity for further improvements. The 15th anniversary of Jettainer and the 60th anniversary of the ULD clearly show that ULD management is an innovative industry and that the potential is far from exhausted.”
