Kerry Logistics acquires majority interest in Asav

Kerry Logistics wins Frost & Sullivan award


Kerry Logistics has acquired a majority interest in Turkey’s Asav Lojistik Hizmetleri Anonim Sirketi, to strengthen its international freight forwarding network.

The Turkish company, which was founded in 1994 offers air, ocean and road freight services with seven offices in Turkey and one in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Five offices are in Istanbul, one in Bursa and one in Izmir, and Asav also has a 452,000 square foot warehouse in Istanbul.

Mathieu Biron, managing director of global freight forwarding at Kerry Logistics says: “We are excited to work with ASAV, a young, dynamic and highly professional team, to tap into the business potential of a promising market and create greater synergy with the diverse mix of customers it brings. The partnership is poised to significantly boost our IFF capabilities in Turkey and enrich our resources in the Europe-Asia freight route, instrumental in helping us to further expand our IFF business worldwide.”
