Korean Air is helping strengthen relations between India and South Korea with the launch of three weekly freighter flights to Delhi.

The airline will operate three Boeing 777 Freighter flights a week on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays departing Seoul’s Incheon International Airport at 11.10PM, making a stop in Hanoi, Vietnam before arriving in Delhi at 6.15 the next morning.

From Delhi, there will be two further stops in Vienna, Austria, and Milan, Italy before returning to Seoul.

A Korean Air spokesperson says: “Demand for air cargo from Asia to India has shown a sharp boost recently; an average of 6.5 per cent annual increase in the last three years. We are anticipating new demand and improved profitability through optimised cargo routes.”

Korean Air already operates passenger services with cargo capacity to Mumbai three times a week and to Delhi five times a week.
