Menzies expands footprint

Menzies Aviation is continuing to expand across Europe with the renewal of cargo handling contracts amongst other deals.

At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Menzies Aviation renewed cargo contracts with two key customers in 2018.

FedEx renewed its ramp and cargo contract for daily freighter services into Schiphol, while Kalitta Air renewed its ramp handling contract.

Menzies also provides Kalitta Air with cargo handling services at Schiphol, helping to improve the efficiency of operations.

Company CEO, Forsyth Black says: “Our renewed contracts with cargo customers FedEx and Kalitta highlight the success of our new Cargo strategy and the great work our employees deliver to customers on the ground, demonstrating that Menzies Aviation is the leading premium brand in the aviation services sector.”

Elsewhere in Europe, Menzies will provide ground handling services for Air Baltic at Stockholm Arlanda and also welcomes China Eastern Airlines as a customer, following the launch of direct services between Shanghai Pudong and the Swedish capital.

Siberia Airlines has awarded Menzies with a passenger and ramp handling contract at both Stockholm and Copenhagen for direct services to St Petersburg.

Menzies Aviation is also taking over Finnair’s operations in Copenhagen for the five flights operated daily.

Czech Airlines has awarded Menzies the contract to provide handling operations for an additional 16,000 flights a year from Prague Vaclav Havel Airport.

Prague acts as Menzies’ headquarters in Eastern Europe, offering a full suite of ground handling services to customers including easyJet, Ryanair, Emirates, Lufthansa and Air Canada.
