Sebastiaan Scholte appointed CEO of Kales Group

World Freight Company (WFC) has announced that as of November 23rd, Sebastiaan Scholte will start as CEO of Kales Group, one of the industry’s leading General Sales & Service Agents (GSSA’s).

Sebastiaan Scholte will take over from Dirk Hazenoot, who decided to step down after having worked for almost 20 years for the company, of which the last 2 years as CEO.

“I want to thank Dirk for all his years of hard work and dedication, helping to grow Kales Group to become one of the leading GSSA’s in the world”, commented Vikram Singh, group CEO of WFC, who owns Kales Group. “Sebastiaan will bring with him a wealth of relevant experience and expertise in the airline and logistics industry. We are happy to have him on board to lead the organisation successfully.”

Scholte has over 20 years of experience in different senior management roles in Aeromexico cargo and Cargolux Airlines and as CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics. He has been chairman of the Cool Chain Association and has been a board member and chairman of TIACA.

Kales Group has over 30 offices in more than 20 European countries, as well as offices in Mumbai, Toronto, Quito, and Bogota. The company represents more than 90 airlines, handling 250,000 tons of cargo and over 100,000 passenger tickets per annum.
