Freight, logistics and supply chain specialists are being invited to register free of charge for the Transported Asset Protection Association’s (TAPA EMEA) 2021 Virtual Conference next week, which looks at the impact of Covid and risks to the resilience of global supply chains in 2022 and beyond.
The event, organised by the Association’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region from November 8-12 2021, features three-hour daily sessions with presentations from Subject Matter Experts discussing challenges for manufacturers/shippers and their freight transport and logistics providers after two of the most disrupted years ever for international supply chains.
Presentations will begin daily from 1100hrs CET until 1400hrs CET and all stakeholders with an interest in supply chain resilience are invited to attend free of charge by registering at here.
Over 850 delegates have already confirmed their intention to participate in the event, including representatives of manufacturers, logistics service providers and freight forwarders, road transport operators, courier and express companies, last mile delivery businesses, security service providers, insurers and law enforcement agencies.
Day 1, November 8, opens with a presentation by Brendan Sullivan, global head of cargo at IATA, looking at ‘Air cargo: challenges of the pandemic & lessons learned’.
Alan Murphy, CEO at Sea-Intelligence will discuss ‘Oceanfreight – A world of turmoil: The impact of COVID on container markets’.
Raluca Marian, director EU Advocacy & general delegate of the permanent delegation to the EU, International Road Transport Union (IRU) will address the impact of the pandemic on road transport and share the IRU’s views on the outlook, opportunities and challenges for the sector in 2022 and beyond.
As TAPA EMEA focuses on both supply chain resilience and cargo security, Days 2, 3, 4 and 5 will also feature presentations by leading experts from Europol, Amazon, McKinsey & Company, Everstream Analytics, the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, cyber security specialists Lemonshark, the Fake Carrier Intelligence Group, BSI, the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI), G4S Telematix, criminologist Dr. Eric Bervoets, Pinkerton Consulting & Investigation, Risk Intelligence and the Port of Rotterdam.
