WestJet Cargo has expanded its cargo services for Winter schedule 2023 and has introduced new destinations to its network. With a commitment to meeting growing demand and enhancing connectivity, WestJet Cargo marked its debut in Havana, Cuba while relaunching services to Puerto Plata, Bridgetown, and Kingston.
On September 23, 2023, WestJet Cargo proudly launched its inaugural cargo route to Havana, Cuba. The weekly flight on the YYZ – HAV route offers a substantial cargo capacity of 20 tonnes per flight. Havana is currently the sole destination served by WestJet Cargo in Cuba.

In addition, WestJet Cargo officially relaunched its cargo services to Puerto Plata on October 29th, 2023. The carrier offers multiple weekly flights with a reliable 2-tonne cargo capacity on each flight. The route rotation for this service is Toronto – Puerto Plata – Toronto. In addition to this service, WestJet Cargo currently provides cargo capacity on its passenger services to Punta Cana from Calgary and Toronto.
Cargo services also restarted to Kingston, Jamaica, on October 30th, 2023. WestJet Cargo operates 3 weekly flights, each with a 2-tonne cargo capacity. The route rotation for this service is Toronto – Kingston – Toronto. Notably, WestJet Cargo currently provides cargo capacity on its passenger services to Montego Bay from various Canadian cities.
From November 8th, 2023, WestJet Cargo also resumed cargo services to Bridgetown, Barbados, after a hiatus since early 2020. The carrier now operates 4 weekly flights, providing a cargo capacity of 2 tonnes per flight. The route rotation for Bridgetown is Toronto – Bridgetown – Toronto.
